2024 Referee Clinic
Are you interested in making some extra money working outdoors this spring? Get certified as a REFEREE!
WRSA and our communities are always in need of more referees for our evening soccer programs. Youth can start refereeing at 12 years old.
To referee you must complete and pass the certification course. Email ric@westmansoccer.ca to register!

Brandon University Healthy Living Center
(On-field segment will be scheduled outdoors in April.)
SMALL SIDED ELC: introductory course for people 12-14 years old, who would like to referee U9/U10 Small Sided Soccer.
The course will go over the following:
- Referee duties and responsibilities
- The Laws of the Game and how to apply them to Small Sided soccer
- On field practical training
DISTRICT ELC: Prospective Referees, 14+ years of age, as of January 1, 2024 are eligible to take the District Entry Level Course. By successfully completing the course new referees will be eligible to Officiate U9 to Senior - Developmental, Recreational & Competitive Soccer.
The course includes instruction to prepare referees in the areas of:
- Referee duties and responsibilities
- The Laws of the Game and how to apply them
- Foul Recognition & Offside
- On field practical training
- Assistant Referee calls & signals
